There are many things that individuals and businesses can do to create smoke-free environments. To the right, you’ll find information that will help you create smoke-free environments where you live, work, play and dine.
Remember the following when working to create voluntary policy changes:
- How does the policy support cessation?
- How does the policy support community changes that eliminate secondhand smoke?
- Are signs well posted and the policy understood by those affected?
- Have we supported the establishment with letters of thanks?
If you would like to work with others in your community to help create smoke-free environments, or if you simply have questions about tobacco or secondhand smoke, contact your Regional Coordinator
